STAT616: Nonparametric Statistics

Course Goals: By the end of this course, students will be able to acquaint with the basic concepts in many areas of nonparametric statistics.

Topics will be selected from the following:

       -Estimate the CDF and statistical functionals

       -The Bootstrap and the Jackknife

       -Smoothing: Regression and Density Estimation

       -Normal means problem

       -Inference using orthogonal functions

       -Wavelets
