Weekly Quizzes

Homework problems will be assigned in class at each lecture. You are expected to work out all the assigned problems. Solutions will not be collected, but you will be given 10 weekly quizzes, with questions similar to those in the homework assigned during the preceding week. There will be no make-up quizzes but the three lowest quiz scores will be dropped. I will make an effort to put the assigned homework problems on the course's web page immediately before or after each class.

Quiz Time: Thursdays 4:30-4:50

Grading policy

The course grade will be computed as follows:

Ammendment of Nov 6, 2001: The exam of lowest score among Exams 1, 2, 3 will be dropped. Therefore the largest total score changes to 455. The usual 90-80-70-60% grading system will be used for assigning course grades.
