Grading policy

Homeworks will be assigned in class at each lecture. You are expected to work out the assigned problems, but solutions will not be collected. You will be given eleven in-class quizzes based on the homework assignments, according to the schedule in the syllabus. There will be no make-up quizzes but three lowest quiz scores will be dropped.

The course grade will be computed as follows:

oEight quizzes at @ 15 points each120 points
oExams 1 @ 100 points100 points
oExams 2 @ 100 points100 points
oFinal exam @ 150 points150 points
oTotal possible score470 points

The usual 90-80-70-60% grading system will be used for assigning course grades. You can use the math 155 course grade calculator to predict/calculate your couse grade.
