Thomas Seidman is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics at UMBC. His primary research interest is control theory for
PDEs. Research has included diffusion/reaction systems, semiconductor
device modeling, scheduling of manufacturing systems, and the dynamics of
systems with discontinuities. He joined the department in 1972 after
teaching at Carnegie-Mellon University, etc.
