Dr. Peercy graduated from the University of Utah in 2003 working on
modeling and analyzing cardiac arrhythmias. He became a VIGRE
post-doc in Rice University's Computational and Applied Mathematics
Department working on oxygen sensing in E.coli. and calcium wave
signaling in neurons. Most recently he held a two-year position as a
Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Biological Modeling at the
National Institutes of Health modeling beta cell biogenesis. In
general his interest is in modeling biophysical phenomena using
differential equations and analyzing them with numerical,
bifurcation, and perturbation techniques.
