Andrei Draganescu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics
and Statistics at UMBC. His current research interests include multigrid
methods for inverse problems, and numerical methods for Hamiltonian
differential equations, with application to molecular dynamics simulations.
He joined UMBC in 2006 after having completed a two-year postdoctoral
appointment at the Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico. Dr.
Draganescu received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago
in 2004.
